Hi all, I'm back again but there's not gonna be any photos this time cos im too lazy.

So basically, im gonna update everyone on the class chalet.

If you guys are still wondering, yes the chalet is booked and it will be from 6-7 Jan 2010!

We are going to have vegetarian catering, courtesy of huang lao shi who has ordered it already. Yay for people who wanna lose weight! BUT for all you carnivores out there, don't fret. We are currently confirming a potluck activity as well so you guys can bring your chicken wings and shrimp cocktails and beef steaks and suckling pig and what not! Of course, dont forget to bring tidbits as well just in case you guys become bored of forks and spoons and prefer eating your own fingers... Also, i dont think we want to dehydrate so for all who can bring drinks, please do. We would appreciate a free temporary loan of an ice box as well for anyone who has it.

To all who have portable dvd player/xbox 360/ PS3/ Wii/ Home Theater System/ video player/ cassette player, please please bring them along. Ok, i was kidding about the cassette player, but we do have a tv there so i guess we arent gonna put it to waste right? Please bring your DVDs/ VCDs/ CDs/ games/ cards/ guitars for entertainment or we all might have to end up having mass pillow fights or Russell Peters marathon on my iTouch to kill the boredom.

So for all coming, please bring along around $25 to pay for the class chalet and food. Of course, you would be extremely welcome to bring along extra food to share! The chalet will only be open from 3pm onwards so please do not come too early to find that no one is around. Please drop Zina a text to confirm that you are going cos' its quite hard to collate the number of people that are going when not everyone replies to her messages.

Yeah so hope to see you guys there! Have a nice last-few-days-of holiday.

as you all can see, as this blog is super dead, i have come to spice it up a little.

Ok actually i've come to say Merry Christmas to 5C12 and hope you guys have received lots of presents...

Also we are actually approaching...

Actually, i didnt come here to say all that, it was just convenient. I have actually come to announce that the SUPER DUPER EXTREMELY LONG AWAITED class chalet is finally settled, courtesy of Huang Lao Shi who helped us book it!

Venue: Aranda Country Club
Date: 6-7 Jan
Activities: You name it :) but at the moment, we do have ideas for bbq.

So guys, please remember to bring around 20 dollars each or maybe more w.r.t to the activities. (sorry, too much differentation in my head) Remember, this is a rough estimation by me and it could be inaccurate, plus its only to pay for the chalet and bbq so if you want to bring more, please feel free!

There will be further updates over here on the chalet and you guys would also be updated via sms. In the meantime, please have fun, rest well and do your homework. (Can't believe i'm actually saying that...)

EU quarantines London in flu panic

The EU is considering a travel advisory for Mexico

There has been a small outbreak of “zombism” in London due to mutation of the H1N1 virus into new strain: H1Z1.

Similar to a scare originally found in Cambodia back in 2005, victims of a new strain of the swine flu virus H1N1 have been reported in London.

After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of it’s victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believe to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”

The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the alert to phase six, its highest level, and advised governments to activate pandemic contingency plans.

In Mexico, the epicentre of the outbreak, President Felipe Calderon urged people to stay at home over the next five days.

US: one death, at least 91 confirmed cases

New Zealand: 13 confirmed cases

There are many cases elsewhere - including the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Israel, and New Zealand.

BBC health correspondent Mark McGrith says the raising of the WHO alert on Wednesday suggests a global epidemic, or pandemic, is imminent.

In the latest developments:

The Netherlands confirms its first case of zombie swine flu, in a three-year-old boy recently returned from Mexico. After passing away early this morning, he rose from the dead and lunged at his mother.
Ghana has become the latest country to ban pork imports as a precaution against swine flu, though no cases have been found in the West African country
China's health minister says that the country's scientists have developed a "sensitive and fast" test for spotting swine flu in conjunction with US scientists and the WHO. The country has recorded no incidence of the flu yet. There methods, however, have been uneffective in spotting the H1Z1 strain.

At the meeting of health ministers in Luxembourg, a French proposal for a continent-wide travel advisory for Mexico will be discussed.

SYMPTOMS - WHAT TO DO

Swine flu symptoms are similar to those produced by ordinary seasonal flu - fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills and fatigue

If you have flu symptoms and recently visited affected areas of Mexico, you should seek medical advice

If you suspect you are infected, you should stay at home and take advice by telephone initially, in order to minimise the risk of infection

If you feel yourself passing away, then notice your strength and vigor returning at an alarming rate, please attempt to restrain yourself to prevent infection and harm to others.

It is unclear whether the EU executive has the power to impose a travel ban.

Several countries have restricted travel to Mexico and many tour operators have cancelled holidays.

Other members are resisting calls to implement travel bans or close borders, on the grounds - backed by the WHO - that there is little evidence of their efficacy.

The EU ministers will also try to agree on how to refer to the new virus.

The European Commission has been calling it "novel flu", replacing the word "swine" to avoid prompting a fall in demand for pork and bacon.

On Wednesday, Egypt began a mass slaughter of its pigs - even though the WHO says the virus was now being transmitted from human to human.

Congrats to Dancers!!

Yo yo, today was dance's SYF and they did the school proud by clinching GOLD! Grats to them and especially our class dancers such as Zina, Elaine, Joanna and SAM GOH! They had to put in lots of effort and make lots of sacrifices such as waking up at 4:30am and reach school very early to practice, but their hard work and determination have paid off. The feeling must be sweet~ Grats again. Hope the dance concerts turn out well too.

Please, remember to do your PI.

Also, i want to emphasize again that please do pass messages down the class tree. Frankly, it is very very irritating when people do not cooperate. Seriously.

HoHoHo! The Cs Concert was too good to be true. Its was just amazing and brilliant. The performance was beyond expectation and perhaps with a little more improvement, it can be a national standard performance. Thanks to all the performers for making my Earth Hour a fabulous one :) Congrats to Xin Qian especially since she is our class de "lesbian" haha ( if you watch the show you will know what i am talking about).

Another thing to be happy about is that Melinda and Gloria had obtained 1st runner-up position in some video competition organized by health board. Congrats :)

Besides that, reminder to class. DO YOUR ECONOMIC REVISION. Lee SB is short fusing more frequently nowadays.

Boohoo! Big thanks to Elaine for setting up the class blog properly and Zina for stopping Elaine from make our blog look lovesick! Now we got a virtual space to use as a class.

Anyway, I hope everyone will make use of this space to update each others on events like CIPs,class events and important infos like homework and project works. So we can make sure none of us get killed by teachers such Lee SB with a "HELLO!" All in all, just don let it rot to green slime. lols.

We will add in more stuffs soon such as class goals and many more. Maybe class calender is good. so everyone can be reminded of what to do.
